My Family doesn't eat the things I do, so when cooking for them sometimes I'm tempted to nibble while taste testing😉. To get the monkey off my back per say, I sometimes incorporate a bit of what they're eating with what I eat. This keeps me accountable to eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
On this day my Family is eating Tacos. I combined 2 spoonfuls of the taco meat into my Beet compost, put it on a taco shell with a little sauce and wallah!...........I have Tacos too, and it takes great! Now I'm going to find a substitute for the meat and the shell. I don't have any recipes or follow others for theirs. I just let the creative juices flow. No pun intended. #thatsurthurty
There are times when my sweet tooth activates. I don't fight it, I just let it happen. Most often I can't eat all of whatever the sweet thing is anyway, as my body has gotten used to healthier things.
I've found that not depriving myself of things I once ate on a regular basis, keeps me from gorging. My stomach can only take so much of it. Eventually I won't desire any of these things. Total Holistic lifestyle loading. #thatsurthurty
For the type of Juicer I have, its best to scrape the ginger peel off before juicing. Ginger is not as pliable as other herbs and can be a bit hard on the Juicer over time.
Mixing the Lemon with the Ginger is one of the best things I've done for myself. It's awesome for tea and any other addictive to something else I may be drinking or eating. I also use it in conjunction to other juices I bathe in. Nothing goes to waste with me. I also save the compost for its many uses. #thatsurthurty
Lemons have been one of the best discoveries ever for my health; internal and external. Lemons in conjunction to some other juiced fruits and vegetables are aiding in the reversal of quite a few things within my health, as well as improved blood pressure.
I keep lemons on hand as they are the base for every fruit and vegetable I juice, including the mixture I bathe in, and my body butter. Juicing lemons save me quite a bit of money as I don't have to buy lemon juice out of the store and it is very porus of any arteries that may be clogged. Lemons breaks all that nasty gunky stuff up allowing it to pass through my blood stream, and aides my digestive system in eliminating it from my body.
I've learned to keep the compost. There is some I throw away, but for the most part I keep a good amount from whatever I juice and freeze it in efforts to eat healthy on a continual basis. This also helps me not to snack and be tempted to eat junk food.
This dish is a combination of carrot, cucumber, and beet compost. I had to let this batch cook for 35 to 40 minutes as I was unaware the cucumber compost didn't fully thaw out. It still turned out great.
My Holistic journey has been something that I've been honest with myself about, especially in regards to the foods I eat. Most often times I juice and eat grilled vegetables, then there are those times when I desire something else. Today I had a taste for fried chicken and corn.
I washed it down with fruit juice. It taste very good and I could only eat so much of it as my stomach is more incline to healthier foods now. This is a good thing as it means my transition to total Holistic living is a closer achievement than I thought.
Everything one does has a process, and being honest with yourself is the key to accomplishing your goal. I'm honest with myself in knowing that I still desire some foods that I should not be eating on a regular basis. I eat them from time to time and the time length in between is greater every time. So there will come a day that I may not eat those things at all. Strictly fruits and vegetables. I welcome that lifestyle. #thatsurthurty
Beets are beneficial to the body in m Beets are beneficial to the bodyany ways. It's an internal organ's best friend.
On my Holistic journey, Juicing has been a strong element in improving my health.
I've never had any health issues, until I learned I was on the brink of having one during a check up visit with my doctor. My blood pressure was high. I felt fine but the reading on the cuff stated different, even after the nurse waited 15 minutes to retake it, my pressure was still high. 146 over 80 I believe it was. I'd never had a reading that high before in my life. It's always been in the 120 over 65 range
So with that, along with being overweight I took action and responded to the unction to juice. Yes, this unction was divine. Ideas and creativity began to flow in regards to what I juiced, juice recipes, and even grilling vegetables instead of frying and boiling them in saturated butters and fats.
Eating and drinking fruits and vegetables in their pure state has been the best thing for me. I most definitely feel and look better. My skin is very clear and toned. I've even regained some flexibility that I'd lost in previous years.
Beets have so many health benefits for the body that range from the brain, heart, lungs, and liver. Beets even reduce and prevent inflammation, and the big one, prevents cancer.
I've been juicing for 5 months now. I desire to be totally holistic. In just a short amount of time I've noticed improvement in my emotional and mental state.
I juice all types of fruits and vegetables, but on this day I juiced watermelon, lemon, and ginger, containing them in separate jars. When I juice, I take a portion of my lemon and ginger to combine them together for my hygiene. Yes, I bathe in my juice as well.
Although I continue to learn and experience the benefits of juicing, there are, and have been some challenges along this journey of which I don't despise. I believe they are much needed for me to increase the wealthiness of my health.
I'm looking forward to the next 5 months. #thatsurthurty
